Mandi Bunga is a series that aims to reconcile both the artist’s cultural and gender identity. In the Malay Peninsula, the floral bath ritual is usually reserved for important occasions, not particularly to, but often associated with a woman's life e.g. her coming of age, before getting married and/or for beautification purposes.

The artist confronts her ideals of femme performativity and deconstructs the validity of her womanhood through a ritual that is no longer in common practice due to the Arabization of the Malay and Indonesian identity.
